Ques. Which course is the best? IIM Indore's IPM, BFIA / BMS at SSCBS, DU; BSc Fin. at NMIMS or BBA at Christ?

● Top Answer By Vivek Dubey on 31 Aug 21

Ans. The best among these institutes is, undoubtedly, IIM Indore. During the first three years of IPM at IIM Indore, you will focus on various topics and learn a number of concepts. The institute has experienced and capable faculty. The main reason for IPM’s popularity is due to the tag IIM has given.  Following are some of the pros and cons of the IPM program at IIM Indore: Pros  Renowned experts are in charge of designing unique programs. Apart from the coveted IIM tag, the infrastructure is excellent, the faculty is great and the network of alumni is also very popular. The peers are also very supportive and helpful. The final two years are spent with the students of PGP. Placements are improving every year A wide range of co-curricular activities. If you want to appear in other entrance exams you will face no pressure and continue your preparations smoothly. Cons The program is still growing so it is still settling. When compared to the PGP program there may be some bias, unfortunately. Your future scopes might suffer a blow if compared to a more secure option like engineering. This will happen only if you are not sure of IPM and switching courses might prove to be troublesome. In addition to the previous cons, you will get a certificate from IGNOU instead of a proper degree. In the case of the other colleges, you will probably not face some of the cons.Read more

Ques. Which one will be better, getting a BBA from iim Indore or from chirst university banglore?

● Top Answer By Radhika Tiwari on 20 Aug 21

Ans. Having done some research on both the colleges, I have gathered some information which I am going to share with you. Hope this answers your question. Christ University Bangalore is a more experienced institute. It has the locational advantage being in Bangalore, which is the IT hub of India.  A student of Christ University enjoys higher chances of being hired by IT MNC firms, after completing BBA. There is no exit option for the IPM course in IIM Indore once enrolled. In the current scenario, companies are showing preference to students who have a multi-disciplinary background. Pursuing a BBA and MBA with specializations will be a better option than pursuing a program for five years. Moreover, the average packages offered to the students who are pursuing IPM is less than that offered to the students who are pursuing PGDM.  Categories Christ University Bangalore Course Fee 5 lakhs Highest CTC 8 LPA Average CTC 3.56 LPA Recruiting Companies Tech Mahindra, Accenture, IBM, Dell, etc. The final two years of IPM are PGDM. The reason for this is that IPM students have to take IPMAT and for PGDM, they will have to take CAT. CAT is much more difficult than the former. In addition to that, IPM is a new course. So it is really not worth the enormous amount of money. In Christ University, you will know the extent of its brand value.Read more

Ques. How is the new IPM programme by IIM Rohtak?

● Top Answer By Chandrakana Ray on 05 Aug 21

Ans. Last year my cousin got admission for the new IPM program by IIM Rohtak, and according to his experiences, here are some key highlights you need to have a look at before going for it. If you have recently completed your 12th board, you can take up this Five-Year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) if you aim to pursue your career in Business Management. Since it's an integrated program it’s a comprehensive learning experience combining both UG and PG. You will be focused on managerial and leadership roles in the corporate sector. In addition, you will be subjected to take up internships at the end of every academic year. Once you successfully complete the course, you will be awarded a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree by IIM Rohtak. Pros: The curriculum is rigorous with the entire program being divided into two parts – the Foundation course and Management. Great practical experience through compulsory internships. Credible with a fully-fledged MBA degree after completion of course Cons: Since it is newly introduced, the first batch hasn't passed yet so we can’t analyse the placement record, nor a strong alumni network. The fees structure of this course is quite expensive. 4,51,000 per annum (For three years) & 7,60,000 per annum (For 4th & 5th year) You will be completely locked in for 5 years and if you wish to pursue MBA in other top-notch business schools or abroad, you can't. A five-year integrated course is a great option if you are looking to pursue an MBA altogether after your graduation without having to clear additional formalities and hustle. Also, if fee structure and budget is not a constraint for you, you can definitely choose this course. However, if you aspire to pursue MBA from other top institutes or abroad, this course is not for you.Read more

Ques. How is life at IIM Rohtak like for an IPM student?

● Top Answer By Anisha Khanna on 02 Aug 21

Ans. One of my close friends studied at IIM Rohtak. According to him, his first two years were really interesting. But gradually he realized how rigorous the course was. He, like any other young adult, faced a lot of ups and downs throughout his college life. Due to the lockdown, his second year was conducted online. This really made him realize how important being on campus was for him. He shared some things that took place in the college before the lockdown. On-campus, they used to have a lot of club events, organizing fests, group activities, debates, and much more. Random quiz competitions took place in the classrooms during a free period. They participated in them which was useful yet fun. The infrastructure of the college is really good. It is well maintained and clean. Many things would take place in the campus that they almost lost track of time. Starting the day with morning yoga, attending classes, taking part in quizzes, taking the examinations when conducted. A day goes by in college by following a proper routine. They also organized birthday parties and movie nights at the hostels. These were some of the things that made his college life amazing, even though it was for a year. Their system of following the 7 subjects per trimester helps students learn a lot about mathematics, social sciences, management, etc. in depth.Read more

Ques. What is your opinion on the IPM course introduced by IIM Rohtak?

● Top Answer By Aditya Singh on 02 Aug 21

Ans. The IPM course introduced by IIM Rohtak is rigid and flexible at the same time. The course was started by IIM Indore and Rohtak is following the former’s footsteps. Like its Indore counterpart, 2020 is the first batch that will be experimented on. If we come down to the process certain merits and so-called ‘demerits’ can be put forward. This program is new and has not found its foothold yet which resulted in some hesitation from the first batch of IIM Indore. Before you compare, ask yourself some questions like, if you have received the offer and if you have then what you are planning to do with it. There are high prospects but as the program is still new it would take some time to turn up on the map. It is not mature to bring up the fact that the institute is in Haryana. There is an IIT in Kharagpur and Kanpur and they attract tons of candidates during admission. The reports of the average placement drive of 2020 show that the highest package offered was as high as INR 24 LPA. It’s pretty certain the figures would see an increase in the future. The placements may be as good as, and/or even better than the current package for PGP. List your priorities and decide accordingly. You will be using a lot of money and will get little or no return on investment (ROI). The IIM brand name will serve you for the better.Read more
