KMAT Kerala 2021 Cycle 2 Result has been released on September 6 on the official website. The result contains the overall and sectional scores of the candidate along with the personal details. Candidates who secured 10 % of the total 720 marks, i.e., 72 marks and above, qualified. KMAT Kerala Selection procedure

KMAT Kerala 2021 Selection procedure

Candidates have to apply for admission to individual colleges/institutions across Kerala. The weightage is given to the Entrance Examination, Group Discussion, and interview in the ratio 80:10:10 respectively. Based on KMAT Kerala 2021 Rank List, qualified candidates can get admission to the participating institutes. ASC (Admission Supervisory Committee) will consider the following total score of each exam to prepare for KMAT Kerala 2021 cut-off.

  • For KMAT Kerala (MBA exam) the total score is 720 marks
  • For CMAT the total score is 400 marks
  • For CAT the total score is 400 marks

Candidates qualifying the written round will have to appear for the next round of selection procedure -Group Discussion followed by Personal Interview.

  1. Group Discussion: For Group discussion, qualified candidates from the previous rounds are given a topic related to current or business affairs. The duration of the GD usually varies. Candidates’ ability to take initiative and effectively communicate their ideas is tested in this round.
  2. Personal Interview: The Personal Interview round is one on one interaction round where the panelists adjudge the candidates on the basis of their persona and ability to stay focused under pressure. The usual duration of the PI round is 10-15 minutes.

KMAT Kerala 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies strictly has defined the eligibility criteria for the students to follow accordingly. The student should check it thoroughly before applying for KMAT Kerala 2021.

  1. Nationality – The candidate should be a citizen of India and a native of Kerala.
  2. Academic qualifications – Candidate should hold a 3 years Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% aggregate (45% concerned for SC/ST). The final-year students are also eligible to apply for the KMAT Kerala 2021, provided their results are declared before the commencement of the admission process. The students who have given CAT or CMAT are also eligible to apply for the examination.
  3. Age Limit- There is no age limit for applying to KMAT Kerala 2021.

The candidate who wants to secure admission in MBA courses through KMAT Kerala 2021 has to fill the Application Form through the university's official portal. The candidates are advised to check the portal on a regular basis for updates. Important details about the application form are given below:

  • The application form will be available in online mode.
  • The candidate can fill the application form for the second cycle from July 17 to July 31, 2021.

Step 1: Registration

  • Visit the official website i.e.

  • No edit can be made to the basic information
  • After making the changes, click on submit
  • Take a print of the application form for future reference

Note: Once the application form is submitted, the candidates won’t be able to make any changes concerned. All the information will be printed on the admit card accordingly and if any error is found then that may lead to problems for the candidate.1

Once the application form of KMAT Kerala is submitted, the candidates are not allowed to make any changes in the same. There is no feature of form correction provided by the respective examination. If there is any error in the submitted form, it may lead to problems in later stages of selection.

Hi Utkarsha. The total marks in KMAT Kerala are 720. Four marks for each question.  All the questions are objective type in English. The division of marks is 50 marks for English Language and Reading Comprehension, 50 marks for Quantitative Aptitude, 40 marks for Data Sufficiency & Logical Reasoning, and 40 marks for General Knowledge & Contemporary Business Scenario.

Hi Shruti. KMAT Kerala is conducted twice a year in two sessions. The registration for the first session is held around March and the second session is around July.  For 2021, 1st session has been concluded in April and the second session is expected to be conducted in August. Hi Yash Raj. The marking scheme of KMAT Kerala is that for every question +4 marks will be given and for every wrong answer -1 will be deducted. There will be 180 questions on the entrance paper with total marks of 720 marks.

Hi Rashmi. The documents you would be needing during KMAT registration are your Class 10 mark sheet, Class 12 mark sheet, Graduation mark sheet/certificate, Date of birth proof, Address proof, Caste category certificate (if applicable), scanned photos, and scanned signature.

The selection process is done on the basis of the Entrance exam, GD, and interview. Candidates qualifying for the written round will have to appear for GD followed by a Personal Interview. Hi Vipasha. Yes, you can apply for the second session. KMAT Kerala is conducted twice a year in two sessions. The first session was conducted in April 2021, the results of which are awaiting. The second session is generally conducted in the Month of July but there has been no official notification yet. Once the notification is out, you can register.

What is the cutoff for OBC students?

Cut off for OBC category will be same as that of general students which will be 72 marks. However for reserved category of SC and ST, qualifying cut off marks for the exam will be 54. The counselling session for first session is yet to commence and the schedule for the same will be updated soon on the official website.
