As per the previous year's trends, candidates can expect NTA to release NEET 2021 Result by October 15. However, before the announcement of NEET result candidates will have to complete the Phase-2 registration process. Candidates who will score above or equal to 50th, 40th & 45th percentile in GN, SC/ST/OBC & GN-PH category respectively will become eligible for the admission process. Check NEET Cut off

What is NEET Exam? NEET is a National Eligibility cum Entrance Test conducted by NTA i.e. National Testing Agency. NEET is the only entrance test for those who wish to get admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, Veterinary, and other medical courses in India. After qualifying NEET candidates will become eligible to get admission in more than 75,000 MBBS seats and 25,000 BDS seats across the country. Also, candidates who are willing to take admission to B.Sc Nursing have to appear for NEET.

Candidates who are planning to appear for the exam will have to qualify NEET Cut off percentile and scores in order to get admission in MBBS, BDS, and AYUSH programs. In the 2020 session due to vacant seats in AYUSH and BDS programs, the authority had reduced the qualifying percentile by 10. Check the original and revised percentile in the table below.

NEET Counselling 2021

Medical Counselling Committee MCC conducts NEET Counselling for 15% AIQ seats. The all India level counselling is conducted in 3 rounds and if the seats are still left vacant after the completion of round 3 then the authority will conduct the mop rundof counselling. The steps of counseling are mentioned below:

Who is Eligible for NEET Counselling?

  • Candidates qualifying NEET are eligible for admission. 
  • For GN category the qualifying percentile is 50. 
  • For OBC/SC/ST category the qualifying percentile is 40. 
  • For GN-PH category the qualifying percentile is 40.
  • For OBC/SC/ST-PH category the qualifying percentile is 40.

NEET 2021 Reservation Criteria (Revised)

MCC and NTA both have released the official notice stating the changes in NEET Reservation criteria for 15% AIQ seats. From this session onwards 27% reservation for OBC-NCL and 10% for EWS category candidates in 15% AIQ seats will be awarded to candidates. However, for 85% of state quota seats, the reservation policy of the respective states will be applicable.

NEET 2021 Exam Pattern (Revised)

NTA has announced changes in NEET Exam Pattern 2021. 

  • The exam will be conducted in 13 languages in a pen-paper mode. Each subject will consist of two sections.
  • Section A will consist of 35 Questions and Section B will have 15 questions.
  • Out of 15 Questions in section B, candidates can choose to attempt any 10 Questions. So, the total number of questions and utilization of time will remain the same.

Phase 1: Before Appearing for the Exam

Ans. As per the cut off trend of the previous year you need to score the rank around 400 to get admission in LHMC under AIQ quota.

Ans. Yes. If your NEET 2021 Rank is between 300 to 400 then chances are very high to get admission in Grant Medical College, Mumbai under AIQ quota. The state counselling rank could be lower also.

Ans. Last year for the general category NEET AIQ cut off of this college was 614 marks. So if a candidate scores more than 614 marks then the chances are higher to get admission in this college. However, for the ST category, the cut off marks were 485. 

Ques. What is NEET cut off of BDS colleges in Karnataka’s Government Dental Colleges?

Ans. The cut off range is between 560 to 570 of BDS colleges in Karnataka. For reserved categories, the range is lower in comparison to the general category.

The last date to raise objections is Sep 29 till 2:00 PM and fees can be paid till 4:00 PM.

A. Yes. Compartment students can apply for NEET 2021. However, during the time of admission candidates will have to provide the class 12 pass certificate and must score the required percentage of marks.

Ans. For General category candidates the pass percentage is 50% or above in the PCB in Class 12. Candidates scoring this percentage can apply for the exam.

You will be needing your passport number as ID proof to complete the registration process and take the exam.

Ques. If I am opting Assamese as a language of question paper, can I get the center of examination in Delhi?

Ans. No. If any candidate is opting vernacular language as medium of question paper, he will be allotted center only in respective States of particular vernacular language. In the present case, examination center could be only in Assam.

Ans. The option once exercised, cannot be changed after submission of the application form. As centers will be allotted based on the medium of question paper, candidates need to be very careful in choosing the medium of the question paper.
